WEST VIRGINIA QSO PARTY
Sponsored by the West Virginia State Amateur Radio Council.
Saturday June 21, 2025 noon til midnight Eastern time
(1600Z Saturday June 21, 2025 through 0400Z Sunday June 22, 2025)
The Annual WV QSO party is held each year to celebrate West Virginia’s admission to the Union on
June 20 1863. If June 20th is not a Saturday, the QSO Party is held the Saturday immediately prior. But
this year it will be held on the 21st to maintain the normal “third weekend of June” schedule.
MAIN CATEGORIES
You may submit an entry for only one category. As an example, if you are operating as mobile using
QRP power limitations, you can be either Mobile or QRP.
Remote operating is permitted and the use of spotting nets is allowed to encourage contest
participation.
Single Op (Fixed)
No more than one signal on the air, one person operating and logging. Operate high or
low power.
Multi/Multi (Fixed)

QRP (Fixed or Mobile)

Mobile stations may work and may be worked by other stations upon changing counties.
Mobile stations may operate from a county line if the definition* of a county line is met
and receive bonus points for each county. Stations on a WV county line may be claimed
as both a QSO and a multiplier from each county. (2 QSO’s and 2 multipliers). No
contest power limits for mobiles.
*County line definition: County lines are defined as where two counties meet as long as
the line is not “wet”. “Wet” is defined as two counties that are separated by water, i.e.,
creek, river, lake, etc. You may not operate from a bridge connecting two counties.
Mobiles: Indicate in your log the county (or counties) you’re operating from.
