Rick is responsible for testing amateur radio products to support Product Review for QST. You can also find him reviewing technical articles, writing Lab Notes, crafting test fixtures and gizmos to support product testing and lab activities, and talking on the phone to members when they have questions. He was first licensed in 2007 and when he has time to get on the air, you'll find him working the CW end of the bands. Before coming to the league, he managed high-end projects for Mark Levinson, managed software, hardware and innovation groups at Timex Corporation and designed home audio products at Krell Industries. Besides amateur radio, he is passionate about music (writing, performing and recording), model rocketry and messing around with any old, abandoned tech that was once the heralded as The Way of Things To Come. In 2021 he completed the French Way of the Camino de Santiago, but, sadly, forgot to bring his radio.
