Our club station has two HF positions plus one for VHF. Station consists of three IC-7300s, a 60ft tower with PRO-67B and side-mounted Tri-Band HF Beam, a secondary tower for VHF/UHF, and wire antenna for 30-160. Station is located in a dedicated building located at 1980 Hughes Road in Melbourne, co-located with the Melbourne Fire Department Training Center.
We have an active education program, with license classes and regular Elmers’ Nights at the club station. We hold license testing sessions every month of the year.
We have two 2-meter repeaters, one with Fusion/Wires-X.
We participate as a club in 12-15 contests per year, including Field Day. Members participate in many other contests, some using the club station.
We sponsor the annual Melbourne Hamfest, which is celebrating its 60th year in 2025.
The club meets monthly, and guests are welcome at our meetings.
