The Northern Chautauqua Amateur Radio Club, NCARC, is an Amateur Radio club in Chautauqua County. Our club uses the historic call sign of W2SB, issued in 1956 to honor a club founder, Al Barris, W2SB.
The NCARC formed in 1930 and we're celebrating 96 years of service to the ham radio community. We've been an ARRL affiliated club since November 1930 and we're an active, family-oriented group centered in Dunkirk/Fredonia, NY but we have members from all around the county.
The NCARC participates in ARRL Field Day and other radio events, as well as supporting 3 Repeaters, RACES, ARES and SkyWARN. We also conduct a weekly general information net on our W2SB 2m repeater and enjoy monthly breakfasts at a local restaurant.
The NCARC also has Allstar Link nodes and Meshcore services planned in 2026 . Scanner enthusiasts, Shortwav listeners, FM DXers, and Family Radio Service users are also welcome
