A single QSL can be used for multiple awards. | ||
Dues Survey comment I made on the survey | WB2IHB | on 15/10/23 |
I just looked at my October QST. Advertising is interspersed with editorial content in the first 30 pages. After that, there is not another ad until page 102! The claim that QST is "3/4 advertising" is demonstrably false. As for the advertising itself -- I don't mind it one bit. I'm always interested to see what new products are available to us hams. Virtually every ad is related to the hobby. Not a single ad for automobiles, cigarettes or erectile dysfunction drugs! Whether or not the dues increase was justified is a separate matter. I do feel that it was excessive. |

which antenna is more efficient? | KF4GGK | on 19/8/22 |
If we ignore tuner (and feedline) loss, then both systems are 100% efficient. They will have different radiation patterns, of course. Perhaps I misunderstood your question? Mark AI4BJ |

The Technical History of Radio | KK7BSR | on 28/7/22 |
The ARRL Handbook is an excellent resource. It doesn't have to be a recent edition -- any Handbook from the past 20-30 years would do fine. Once you've gained an understanding of analog radio, a more recent Handbook will cover software defined radio. Mark AI4BJ |

"bandplan" in July QST issue | PE1HZG | on 27/6/22 |
It has been my experience that the only folks at HQ who monitor these forums are the technical staff. You'll probably have much better luck if you reach out via email. http://www.arrl.org/contact-arrl Mark AI4BJ |
