On a recent afternoon, I stopped by my local Starbucks for a much-needed pick-me-up. I ordered one of my go-to drinks: a Grande Iced Caramel Macchiato, but swapped in oat milk, a popular customization. I also grabbed a slice of their Lemon Loaf from the bakery. The barista quickly took my order and confirmed it with a smile. A few minutes later, my drink was ready, just like I expected, with layers of espresso, milk, and caramel drizzle.
