Hello All,

At times, I hear stations using their call sign suffix to check into directed Nets.

Are their any rules concerning this practice?

Thanks and 73

They can use the suffix to initiate the communication so long as the entire callsign is transmitted within ten minutes of doing so. 97.119 covers this. Paragraph a states that identification must be given at the end of each communications and at least every ten minutes during a communication. There is no regulatory requirement to identify at the beginning of a series of transmissions during a communication.
