The Steubenville-Weirton Amateur Radio Club (SWARC) serves the Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia counties of Jefferson (Ohio) and Brooke and Hancock (West Virginia).  SWARC operates a VHF repeater (W8CWO) in Weirton, WV, and supports the operation of two private repeaters (WD8IIJ) on VHF and UHF in Steubenville and Wintersville, Ohio (respectively).  SWARC assists prospective and new Hams in the hobby, and we offer periodic (quarterly) and on-demand FCC license exams.  SWARC participates in Field Day activities, and has, at times, set up public demonstrations of Amateur Radio.  Our monthly business meetings on the 1st Wednesday of each month offer a program and/or learning session after a short business meeting is conducted.  Our dinner meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6 PM at Zalenski's Restaurant in Wintersville, Ohio.  We welcome anyone who has an interest in Amateur Radio to contact us and/or join our club.
