The Pitt Community College Amateur Radio Club seeks to encourage its student members to explore all that amateur radio has to offer. Members learn the purpose and function of amateur radio in the local community, as well as the technologies used to provide communications both locally and internationally. Student members also have access to the club's amateur radio station located on the campus of Pitt Community College in Winterville, NC.
The club was formed in 2009, and tries to stay active depending on student interest. We currently operate a full service APRS station with digipeater and iGate features, along with 3 other stations for VHF, UHF and HF.
Membership is for currently active students, with associate memberships for alumni.
