#magham-ops (named after our internet messaging channel) is the official Amateur Radio Club of MAGFest, open to all attendees, volunteers, staff, employees, and their friends & family. MAGFest Inc. exist to make the world a better place through video games with goals such as educating the public, public public appreciation for, and preserve the posterity of video game history and culture. Our demographic includes people from all walks of life with a wide range of interests. For those who's Venn diagram of interests include both video games and Amateur Radio, this is the club for you!
The primary goals of #magham-ops are:
- Educate the MAGFest community about Amateur Radio and the principles of radio communication.
- Provide exam preparation for current and future license holders in the MAGFest community.
- Provide exam sessions to the MAGFest community. MAGFest Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
#magham-ops does not charge membership dues - all funding will be provided by MAGFest Inc. through donations, fundraising, and grants.
