The Hog County Amateur Radio Association, Inc. is a registered nonprofit organization supporting the hobby in and around Sumter County, Florida.  All licensed amateurs are welcome to join us. Non-licensed folks who are interested are welcome and we can mentor them toward that goal.  We provided local support locally to several events each year. We help out with the Dade Battlefield Historic State Park in Bushnell, FL, with their annual Haunted Woods Event at the end of each October.  This event is a Boy/Girl Scout event.  We also volunteer to assist our local Lake Panasoffkee, FL Chirstmas Parade each year, great turnout for a great parade.  The some of our members assist with an annual bicycle challenge with the largest route being 100 miles.  We go to a local school annually to give the kids an overview of amateur radio.   And we help out here and there when an opportunity arises.
